House Pics

Here are some pictures of our place. I took a video but
it will not load, if anyone knows how to make it work let me know :)
We hardly ever eat at the table. There are tables
and chairs outside on the deck so that's always where
we have breakfast and other meals if we are home.
Blue huh? We were sitting outside in the hammock last
night and Nate said "can you believe people travel hundreds of
miles to get away like this, and we just go in our
backyard?"

Misc. Pictures

We have internet now! FINALLY! Now we don't have to sit on the back porch to bum the neighbor's wireless ;) -Once in a while the cruise ships stop by our place if the water is too choppy at Georgetown
-Barefoot Sunday lunch
Nate got fish sticks... I don't even like fish sticks but they were soooooo good.... good enough to be dessert.... fish popsicles ;)
-Nate was given free tickets to a fish fry stand. It was the WHOLE fish! (eyeballs , teeth and everything)
It was good

Thank you for your prayers

Paloma went to our east and bothered us with 110 mph winds howling through the night, the tide was low and the coral reef breaking the waves along with the wind knocking them down kept them away from our home. We came through without much of a scratch. We are really blessed but the smaller islands suffered more, Paloma was a cat. 4 when it got to them and damaged their airport among other things which has made it hard for them to get assistance. Our power and water was restored the next day and the weather was perfectly calm. It was amazing to see the difference when we woke up. -A few more pics we took after the power went out....
-Cards by candle light
-The next day was beautiful and calm
-What a rough life!

Hurricane Paloma

Hurricane Paloma

Our First Hurricane!!!

Well, Paloma is coming. She should arrive around 6:30pm tonight at a cat. 2-3. The waves are crazy compared to the usual ones we have here. She is predicted to hit our side of the island, basically right at our apartment. We have moved to an apartment upstairs that is not being used while it's tenants are out of town, just in case the water comes into our place as it is on the ground floor. The land lady has had guys boarding up the windows downstairs as well as some upstairs. I was at the store yesterday when I first heard of the Tropical Storm Paloma, I had purchased some bowls, when I got home and looked up to see boards on our back windows I accidentally dropped the bowls on the floor out of shock. We thought we were out of the woods for hurricanes but the season actually goes to Nov. 30. Its all kinda crazy, the winds are really picking up every minute and it is hard to tell from pictures how big the waves are but those that you see are about 3 football fields out there so they appear smaller than they are. We stocked up on food and water. Our tap water is already off and we expect the elec. to go off soon too. We will be fine, if our elec. stays on we will continue to update. Our cell 345-916-8632 if any of you get too worried and want to check on us, but we really will be fine!
